Cocktail Cupcakes..YUM!



I have been looking for a recipe
for a cupcake that is liquor infused.
I think I found my winner!

Pina Colada Cupcakes With Coconut Rum

1 box white cake mix ...(Love this part!)
1 cup pineapple juice
1/3 cup coconut rum
eggs (according to package)
vegetable oil (according to package)
8 oz. can crushed pineapple in juice, drained well (optional)
1/2 cup shredded, sweetened coconut (optional)

Directions:
Add mix, eggs, and oil according to the package.
Substitute water for 1 cup pineapple juice and 1/3 cup coconut rum.
Blend well with electric mixer.
Add pineapple (optional).
Make sure it was well-drained and mix until just blended.
Fold in coconut (optional).
Bake according to the package instructions.

Standard Buttercream Recipe
1/3 cup white Crisco shortening, softened
1/3 cup stick butter or margarine, softened
4-6 tablespoons cream, unwhipped (you can use half and half or milk)
Pinch of salt
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
4 cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted

Ina a large bowl, using an electric mixer at medium speed, beat together shortening and butter.
Add whipping cream, salt and vanilla and continue mixing until smooth (about 2 -3 minutes).
Add in sifted flour, gradually, beat well until smooth and fluffly.
To reach the consistency you need, you may need to add more confectioner’s sugar or cream.
Add food coloring and blend well.
Remember, gel or paste coloring will darken over time.

Cosmo Pops



I am ready for summer can you tell?
I can't wait to try these frozen treasures soon!
My daughter saw these and wants these
for her Under the Sea Birthday Party.
Now, the recipe below is for a Cosmo.
Obviously I would make these with fruit juice
for her birthday!
Make them any way you want....
What Do You Need?
6 or 8 Sliced Limes
2 1/2 cups Cranberry Juice
5 Tbls. Triple Sec
1 cup Fresh Lime Juice
5 Tbls Cointreau
1/4 cup Vodka
1 1/2 cups Crushed Ice
What Do You Do?
Combine all the ingredients except for the lime slices
Pour into the pop molds
Insert cocktail stir stick
Freeze for at least 12 hours
Remove from the freezer
Remove from the mold
Place a lime slice on each stick
How do you make your own mold?
Use any paper funnel to achieve
the Martini Glass look!
Yummy!

81/2 x 11 paper to match your color theme
printer
pencil
What do I do?
1. Print your name on the paper
about 12 per sheet
2. Cut into 1/2 strips
3. Fold in half
4. Curl the ends with a pencil
DONE!

I found a great program that I thought
I would share.
It is a photo editing tool I found online.
Great for blog posts too!
So, I had to share some pictures of my girls
that I took for Valentines gifts.
So many awesome and free tools
to edit your photos.
They do have some premium selections
that you can sign up for.
And for only $24 a year....I might just sign up.
Otherwise, you can use the other tools for free!
Like I did here.

DIY Treat Bags




I started working on my daughters valentines treats this weekend
and thought I would share this simple favor or treat bag with you!
I made these for Valentines Day but,
you could make these with any
coordinating paper for any occasion!

What do I need?
8 1/2 x 11 cardstock
small cellophane bags
ribbon
hole punch
candy

What do I do?

1. Cut cardstock to 9 1/2 x 2 3/4

2. Fold as shown in diagram below

3. Fill cellophane bag with candy
and fold over twice

4. Place candy bag in the treat bag,
positioning the folded top of
candy bag inside top of treat bag.

5. Punch two holes through all layers.

6. Tie up with a ribbon

Raspberries and Chocolate

I love the way the raspberry looks kinda like a heart.
I am going to enjoy this one!

Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake Martini
2 parts EFFEN Raspberry Vodka
1/2 part chocolate liqueur
1/2 part Irish cream

Serve in a cocoa-rimmed martini glass with a raspberry garnish.

10 Seconds and 10 Cents....

That is right....10 seconds and 10 cents!

That is all it took to make this place card holder.
All you need is a few tea lights and place cards!
Cut a slit from the top to the bottom on each
side of the tealight.
Bend in half and insert your picture or placecard!
You could even paint these a different color
to match your party!
