Whooo's 3?

My sweet little girl turned 3 yesterday
and we celebrated this weekend with an
Owl Themed Party!
She loves owls!
This was a fun one to put together
and has quickly become a very popular
theme it seems this year!
I decided on Pink, Brown and Yellow
for a color palette.
On with the details....
Sweets
Sweets, Sweets, and more Sweets!
Cotton Candy, Whoppers, Chocolates, Gum Balls and More!

Favors
Ceramic Owl Pots served as the favors.
I made the tags with the saying
"Thanks for Coming
It was a Hoot!"
Cake

Thar cake was made by my favorite
local bakery
Cooper Street Bakery.

Crafts
The kids had so much fun painting
their owls and owl houses.

Place Setting

For the place mats I cut brown
foam sheets into circles!
So, easy and they make these in every color!
Place a pink plate on top of the foam
then topped it off with a yellow plate.
My new favorite thing is to tie
the plates up with matching ribbon!
Thank you so much to Chris
at
for this wonderful idea!

Whooo don't love Cotton Candy?
I took big bags of Yellow and Pink
Cotton Candy and shaped them into balls
with a drinking cup!
I then put them on wooden dowels
and placed them in glass vases
filled with lemon drops!

And of course the birthday girl!

I ordered her shirt from Modern Frills!
She designed the shirt around the colors
of the party!
She was right on and super fast!
Check out all of her very cute designs
at her etsy shop!
Owl art design by the very talented

I had so much fun putting this together
and to see the smiles on all of the kids
faces made the day priceless!

Balinesse Inspired Graduation

I was so taken back by the beauty of this
Balineese Inspired Graduation Party
found at D-Tales Events.
The Guest of Honor was from Bali
so, the party was completely inspired by
the cultural style.
The color palette was gold, yellow, and white.
I will let the beauty of this outdoor party
speak for itself!

Pathway leading guests from the cocktail area to the dinning area.
Clothes line used to hang lanterns and clothes pins used to
hold Polaroid pictures.
Serenity now....
Love the long tables with Indonesia style eating low to the ground.
Beverage napkins with natural elements.
The view at night...
That was one graduation party...
Maybe I should go back and get my Masters!

One Hot Tamale Girls Night

Well, on Friday I told you about my
Girl's Night In Party I had planned!
The party went great and the girls had so much fun
editing their pictures on Picnik!
Picnik is an online photo editing company
that asked me to host a House Party for them!
I gladly accepted!
If you haven't tried it..head over there and check it out!
You can host your own party too!
If you are interested contact me and I will
pass on the information!
The party theme was One Hot Tamale!
With Cinco de Mayo around the corner I thought
this was a perfect theme to tie in.
I opted for a more modern background for my theme
and chose Red, White, and Black as my colors.
The labels were custom made for me by
She was great to work with and helped me out on short notice!
I used the labels everywhere!
They were great!
I hole punched the edges of the plates and added a tag
attached by a red brad for an little extra touch.
I used metal containers to hold my red and white paper flowers.
Thanks again to Susan at Poca Cosas for the paper flower idea!
And for the napkins, I tied them up with red raffia
and attached a red pepper label.
The desserts table was a big hit!
Chocolate Cake Balls
Strawberry Cheesecake served in Mini Martini Glasses
Key Lime Mousse Cups
Lemon Poundcake with Lemon Mousse and Raspberries
Kahlua soaked Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse
Lemon Cookies
The Favors were boxes of Hot Tamales!
I just covered them in scrapbook paper
and added the label!

I served Sangria and Margaritas for the cocktails!
These made great swirls mixed together!
Yummy!
And of course, I used the labels to make
drink tags for the glasses.
By the way, I got the glasses at Dollar Tree!
WOO...WHOOO...
For the appetizers we had
Grilled Chicken and Beef Skewers
Chips and Queso
7 Layer Dips served in individual wine glasses
Mini Beef Taco bowls
For some reason I didn't get any pictures of the food!
And I wish I had better pictures of the dessert table.
I will do better next time!
Hope you can use some inspiration for your
Cinco de Mayo celebrations this week!
Check out
Parties by Hardie
for some printables!
These were custom made but,
I bet you could purchase them too!
Oh...and all the pictures you see..
you guessed it!
I used Picnik to edit them, add text, add borders,
and make the collages!
