It's almost that time again...

Back To School for most of us.

I know some have already returned, but here in

Texas we start in just a few short weeks.

 

It's 106 outside and I don't want to go anywhere

but to put my feet in the sand and lay by the beach.

 

Did I mention I live in Texas?

 

Soon we will be seeing our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

pages filled with all of those sweet smiling

"OH MY GOSH MOM I AM DONE WITH PICTURES"

kind of faces.

We can get away with a few extra since they are still in

that summer daze of sleepiness.

 

I made documenting those yearly moments just a tad bit

I don't know about you but,
summer vacation went by fast!

Back to School Flashback

Last year my first born took her first step into Kindergarten.

It was such a big event for us!
I wanted to ease the anxiety of it all so,

I hosted a Back to School party.

Here is a flashback to all of the details!

Class list on the front door greeted the kids
Name Plates for lunch
And chocolate covered pretzels crayons!

Brown sack lunches and
cupcakes at the back sale
I made these cute little cupcake toppers with each kids picture
They turned out so cute and the kids loved them!

Everything was labeled
"D" is for Drinks
"P" is for Pencils
"L" is for Lunch

The kids had a pencil hunt,
show and tell,
and several crafts .
At each station they earned tickets to spend at the back sale!

There is one thing that I have learned looking back this party...
I did not take very good pictures!

I have considered hosting another Back to School party
No details as of yet!

Back to School Party

Well, the bell has rung on this back to school party!

The kids had so much fun!

And, I had even more fun putting it all together!

All the details...

W is for Welcome Sign...

C is for Class List.....

B is for Border... on the Buffet table

T is for Time for School....

C is for Centerpiece...filled with apples, crayons, rulers and pencils!

P is for Pencils.....this was so easy to decorate for!

D is for Drinks......I made striped drink tags with Green Tea for the Mommies

L is for Lunch Bags....

filled with sandwiches, goldfish and fruit snacks!

B is for Bus Craft......the kids were so creative!

S is for Show and Tell...

The kids all brought something to show about their summer!

H is for Hunt...as in pencil hunt!

You know like Easter but with the candy tied to a pencil!

They were gone in seconds!

B is for Bake Sale...

I set up a School Bake Sale with all kinds of goodies...

Rice Krispy Treats

Marshmallow Pops

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pretzel Crayons

and Cupcakes!!!

C is for Cupcakes......

I printed out pictures of the kids and attached their heads to

a girl or boy on riding a scooter! The kids thought they were hilarious!

I have to say that this was probably my favorite!

Check it out! They look like mini-mes!

H is for Happy Tickets....

After completing all of their assignments...

the kids were given Happy Tickets to spend

at the back sale!

R is for Rice Krispy Treats....

M is for Marshmallows....

Love this face!

P is for Pretzel Crayons...

I have seen these all over blogs lately...

Thought I would give them a try!

Well, this teacher is going into retirement!

Maybe she will be back for Halloween!
