DIY Champagne Markers

So, I was trying to come up with a unique idea for the age old
champagne glass charm.
This is what I came up with.
Countdown to New Years!
You know....10....9....8....7....
If you are on a budget after the holidays
this is the perfect DIY project for your New Years parties!
And the best thing is that I didn't spend a dime!
These are plastic champagne glasses
that I had left over from a child's birthday party.
You could use these on glass as well.
You would just need a few dots of
low heat hot glue on the bottom of the glass.
Do not over do the glue though!
I would just use 2 or 3 dots of glue.
Then it peels off nice and easy when you are finished.

What do you need?
1. Pattern scrapbook paper
2. Solid colored paper
3. Champagne glasses
4. Numbered stickers

What do you do?

1. Using the bottom of the glass as your template
draw a circle around the bottom of the glass
onto your patterned paper
3. Cut out the circles
(you will get 12 circle from a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet)
4. Cut circles on solid paper with
a 1 7/16" hole punch
5. Attach the numbered stickers
on each solid circle punch.
6. Glue the solid circle to the right
outside edge of the patterned paper.
7. Place the circle inside the bottom of the
champagne glass.

Note: If using a plastic champagne glass
the paper fits right inside without glue.
If you are using glass you will need glue
as stated above.

Gift Card Tree

Still looking for gifts?
Well, I made up this gift card tree last night for
my daughters Kindergarten teacher!
So simple and super cute!
Same idea as the cookie bouquet
only with gift cards!

All you need is:
Decorative Gift Box
Foam Block
Tissue Paper
Small Decorative Balls
Dowel Rods
Gift Card Holders/Boxes
Hot Glue Gun
1. Place the foam block inside the gift box
2. Glue the back of the gift card box to the dowel rods
3. Place your gift cards inside
4. Push the dowel rods into the foam
I love getting gift cards but hate to give them!
BUT....this I loved!
So, maybe I have changed my mind!

A Rustic Tablescape

I like laid back feel of this table.
And I am in love with the cheese boards at each place setting!
Did you see those?
(I know the pictures are small!)
First, use a piece of burlap as a table runner.
Dress it up with live garland, rosemary, red and gold ornaments,
gold picks, and cranberry twigs.

Twelve-inch porcelain tiles are used as plate chargers.
You will probably want to use some felt circle
on the bottom so that you won't scratch your table.

Use olive oil bottles wrapped with jute twine knotted at each end
finished with rosemary and name tags.
These make perfect party favors for guests.

Now for the Cheese Board!
Step 1: Cut a 1 x 6 x 6 oak board into six 12-inch-long pieces.
You could have this done at your local hardware store.
Step 2: Cover your work surface with a drop cloth.
Wearing gloves, apply butcher-block oil (or mineral oil) to all sides of each board.

Step 3: Wipe excess oil using a cloth, and allow to dry.
Apply two to four coats for best results.
Place the boards at each place setting with a bunch of grapes, apple slices, and cheese!
What a great way to start your meal!

Set the table on a budget

Budget...sometimes I hate that word!
But, you can still add some
beautiful details to you table
no matter what your budget is.
For example, these containers are cans from you pantry!
Give them some red paint, floral foam, carnations,
and a couple of candy canes.
I this would be especially cute on a children's table.

Same idea here but with a pine cone.

Simply paint the tin and pine cone, add a ribbon and they serve as a place setting for your guests!

I better start saving my cans!
