Sweet and Spicy

Well, I am having one of those weeks!
School has started and my engine
was running at full spead on Monday but
it is now slowly leaking oil!
I am spent!
I think today calls for a cocktail!
That right, I said it out loud...
I am starting the weekend early!

Check out this "Hot Lips" Chocotini
Created by Kara Newman,
author of "Spice & Ice - 60 Tongue Tingling Cocktails"
1/2 red chile pepper, sliced
1 ounce Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate vodka
1 ounce Kahlua
1/2 ounce Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
Fresh cream
Chocolate

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the sliced chile pepper.
Add the Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka, Kahlua, and Luxardo.
Shake together with ice and strain into a small martini glass.
Next, gently pour cream over the back of a spoon
to create a "float" on the top of the drink.
Use a hand grater for a generous amount of
chocolate shavings on the top of the drink.

Optional garnish:
1 whole red chile pepper
1 oz. chocolate, melted

Dip 3/4 of the chile pepper into melted chocolate.
Set on wax paper and put in refrigerator until chocolate hardens.
Cut a slit in the upper portion of the chile pepper
so it will sit neatly on the rim of the glass.

This is going to set me free!

Picture Perfect Birthday

I love to see new party ideas!
This next party was submitted by
a SCI reader on Friday and
I couldn't wait to share!

Stacey at Elle Belle put together
a photography themed first birthday party
titled "One Year Old in a Flash"!
AWWWW....I am in Love!
You will have a major crush too!
Check it out!

The Invitations were designed with the color scheme
and pictures of the birthday girl!
Check out that envelope..picture frame for the
photo stamps!

Several inserts were included in the invite.
The first insert guests were informed they would be making
a time capsule for Liv to open on her 18th birthday.
The second insert let everyone know there would be a photographer
at the party to take pictures of them and their family.

The Desserts....
Love the cupcake toppers!

Stacey had two favors one for the children
and one for the adults!

The kids took home a moustache or mouth
on a stick with a favor tag that said
“Thanks for a picture perfect first birthday – Liv”.
For the parents, the tag was a mini “Polaroid”
with the details for ordering a 5x7 print
from their photo session.
Check out those decorative binder clips she made!
More Love...

And of course more details on
the birthday girls chair!

There are so many details to this fabulous party!
You must head on over to Elle Bella Blog to
see it all!
